EZBIS Waiting Room App

EZBIS Waiting Room App

The EZBIS Waiting Room app is a patient self-check-in system that makes your office even more efficient by improving your patient flow and reducing the responsibilities of your front desk staff. Now, patients can check themselves in with a tablet, such as an iPad or Android tablet or Microsoft Surface device. It even works with touch-screen Windows computers. These devices can be issued to patients in the waiting room to check-in, sign-in, add subjective complaints and lots more. All of this saves valuable staff time and super-charges your office efficiency. Plus, patients love it!

With the Waiting Room app, it is simple for patients to rate their pain/severity for existing complaints and add new symptoms with the touch of a finger. They can fill out questionnaires and even complete an entire new patient intake!

Fast, Easy Check-in

The check-in process is simple for any patient! The patients simply enter their date of birth and telephone number and they are automatically marked as “in-office”. This works for patients with existing appointments and even walk-ins, if you so choose.

Digital Sign-in Sheet

Once the patient has checked in, the patient signs-in on the tablet with a finger to record a digital signature that is attached to the appointment. Your EZBIS software stores all signatures indefinitely so that at any time you can see the digital signature on each appointment and you can even print out all of the patient visit signatures for a day. This technology eliminates your paper sign-in sheet!

Subjective Complaints

When using the EZBIS Electronic Health Records module, you can have the patients enter their subjective complaints from the Waiting Room computer kiosk, so that by the time you see the patient, all that you enter is the remainder of the progress notes. First, the patient is presented with their previous list of complaints so that they can adjust the pain/severity level for each symptom.

Patient symptom review

Then, (optionally) patients can add any new problems since their last visit and rate the pain level, frequency and quality of pain.

Outcomes Assessment Questionnaires

The Waiting Room app can prompt for patients to fill out outcomes assessment questionnaires such as the Oswestry Low Back Disability or the Neck Disability Index at a designated frequency. The questionnaires are automatically added to the patients’ health records and scored automatically.

Review of Systems

An option for the Waiting Room app can prompt patients to fill out a Review of Systems either on new patient exams, re-exams, or every visit.

New Patient Intake

For new patient visits, the Waiting Room app can prompt new patients to fill out their intake information including demographics, insurance coverage, health history, their chief complaints and more.
When completed, the patient information is automatically added to the EZBIS software so that the data entry has already been done for you!

Electronic Document Signing

After patients complete their demographic information, insurance coverage and health history, they are prompted to electronically sign the documents that you have designated for new patients. These can be chosen from the library of documents supplied with EZBIS or documents of your own. After the documents have been signed, they are automatically stored in the patient record in EZBIS.
