EZBIS is intently monitoring the restoration efforts for the Change Healthcare outage. We were hopeful that the claims clearinghouse would be online by this time. Although some platforms that were affected by the cyber-attack have been restored, the Emdeon-Change Healthcare clearinghouse remains unavailable and we have not been provided with an ETA for restoration of services.
We recommend Availity Advanced as an alternate clearinghouse for those EZBIS users who are in need to submit claims in the short term. We are also diligently working to establish other workarounds for submitting claims in the interim until the Change Healthcare clearinghouse is operational.
The Availity Advanced clearinghouse works much like the Emdeon-Change Healthcare clearinghouse for claims and ERAs and has a similar payer list. There are some notable exceptions, such as Medicare of Indiana and Medicare of Georgia. EZBIS has developed some tools to make the transition to Availity Advanced as easy as possible for sending claims. The reception of ERAs does take more time. If you choose to transition to the Availity Advanced clearinghouse either as a temporary workaround or as a permanent EDI solution, use the following link to download the enrollment forms. Please fax the enrollments to EZBIS at (337) 237-1251. Do not send the forms to Availity.
